What is Present?

Like I mean seriously, from childhood we have been taught, yesterday is past, tomorrow is future, today is present. But what present actually is? 

The universe came into existence billion of years ago. Big bang incident happened 14 billion years ago. This earth came into existence 4.5 billion of years ago. Since then, scientists are working and discovering many new facts of this universe. Their research has expanded to a unlimited extent even an ordinary man can't imagine of it. In 1971, Professor Albert Einstein presented his theory of time. He compared the speed of time at earth and space. For this purpose he placed , two clocks, one on earth and other in space. What just happened was unexpected, the speed of time on earth was fast whereas in space it was slow. What was the thing that made it slow. To understand the concept of time dilation lets consider and understand the concept of few terms.

Light Year: A distance light travels in one years in called as light year.

Light Second: A speed of light in one second is called as one light second. According to universal convention, the speed of light is very much near to 300,000 km/s or 186,000 miles/s.

Light Clock: A special apparatus designed clock which is used to measure time with the help of light. 

" Time passed by a stationary observer is greater then time passed by a moving observer "

Earth is following two types of motion, i.e Spinning around it's own  axis and moving in orbit around the sun. Professor Albert Einstein said that the one still frame of all the objects at one time is PRESENT. We are actually trapped between the future and past. Like one nano second ahead of that still moment is future and one back is past. So we can say that past, present and future are all merged into each other.

Time Dilation Factor:

Professor Albert Einstein & Professor Henri Poincare made a digital clock which worked on the principle that inside the clock when 32,768 vibrations occur there happens addition of 1 second in the time.

Time is measured by clock, what is clock then? in the history ascending there came different people who made different type of clocks to measure time.
